When you see someone with big jumps, it’s normal to assume they were born that way. However, it’s just as likely that you weren’t around to see them doing the necessary training to get those jumps. But first, let’s do a little background on the different types of muscle fibers and their roles in jumping.

Basic types of muscles

first are the Type I or “slow twitch fibers”. As their name implies, these fibers contract slowly. They also have the ability to remain contracted for long periods of time.
