Delivering Innovation

An unusual idea doesn’t have to be a bad idea. Every day, all over the world, people like you and me come up with unusual ideas that end up making them very successful. In this article I’m going to talk about a couple of good examples of unusual business ideas that have to do with cows. Read on to see what I’m talking about.

Unusual business idea: manure for export

What businessman from another country could take this idea and turn it into an export business? The New Delhi authorities plan to export cow dung and urine to the United States.

Produced by the thousands of roaming cattle on the city’s roads, the manure will be processed into compost and the urine will be turned into a biopesticide. Authorities say the initiative aims not only to make money, but also to tackle the problem of the city’s 35,000 stray cows.

The civic agency is in the process of purchasing hydraulic trucks to be able to catch stray cattle and transport them to shelters in and around Delhi.

Vardhman Bapna, a spokesperson for the Morarka Foundation who is working on the project, told The Times of India: “While there is no shortage of cows in the United States, the demand for cow dung from India is quite high.” He added that chemical analysis reveals Indian cow manure relative to the US version in terms of organic content.

Unusual Business Idea – Rent-A-Cow

Cheese lovers can rent their own dairy: a brown and white cow that lives on a Swiss mountain. Farmer Paul Wyler offers his cows for rent on the Internet, and all the cheese they produce goes to the “owner.”

Cows cost around $ 280 during the summer, with Wyler tending the animals and making cheese from their milk. Renters can view animal photos on Wyler’s website before paying.

Wyler and his wife, Helga, have a 50-head farm in the Brienz area of the Bernese Oberland. They already rent some of the cows to restaurants and say they came up with the idea for Rent-a-Cow because they couldn’t sell as much cheese as they produce every year.

What did you think of those ideas? Did it inspire you to come up with an idea (s) of your own? Maybe it gave you the courage to try that idea that has been lingering in the back of your mind? Regardless, I hope you enjoyed reading this article and can’t wait to share more unusual business ideas with you. Let ideas come to you when you need them most.
