Delivering Innovation

Since our beloved sport was born, or rather: PASSION, players have sought to jump higher, get more air. I mean, one of the most important skills in basketball is taking a breath. large amounts of air.

So how should you train? Today, there are many ways to improve your performance by jumping higher in basketball. But it’s just as interesting to look at what people are doing wrong in an attempt to improve their basketball game. Much of the effort put into jumping higher resulted in injury or poor results, so it is very important that you understand what NOT to do. We are not saying that these are necessarily harmful exercises, but they will certainly not bring you quick results. Don’t avoid these drills because, done right and with the right program, they will help you in your basketball game. This is where we should point out that if you experience any type of injury, have any health issues, have any questions, or feel any pain while exercising, please stop and consider seeing a doctor. So that was our disclaimer 🙂

1. Relying on a single approach: If you just jump rope, you will see quick results, initially. After a while, you will stagnate and you will not be able to improve. The surest way to see small results and then stop improving is to only do one approach: like just weights or just plyometrics or just jumping

2. Build Muscular Endurance: This is incorrect because what you need in this sport are primarily explosive muscles: fast twitch fibers. This means that resistance training is rarely good for you in the long run.

3. Neglecting Stretching: Flexibility and loose muscles are key ingredients of strength and athleticism. Jumping is no different. It’s not intuitive for you to stretch to improve your jumping, but it works wonders because stretching conditions your muscles to be able to contract quickly.

4. Hitting the dumbbells: Jumping with dumbbells: This approach might help you jump higher in the short term, but it’s sure to wreck your spine. Weights should be used with caution, especially if you are still growing.

5. Focus only on the legs

6. Enrolling in the wrong “jump higher” program. Many of these programs are scams or knockoffs, you know, so knowing which one to choose is good. You can make your decision based on the few points we discussed here.

There are plenty of other mistakes you can make, but we’ll get to those in a bit. The important thing though is to do these exercises in a smart way and have fun while doing it 🙂
